Julie Agler, along with husband Bill, founded the Gingham Daisy in 2014. Julie infuses creative energy into pastry and pie production, preparing final products for sale each week at the Fayetteville Farmers Market. Julie has a B.S.E from the University of Arkansas (yes, she is a rabid Razorback!) and a M.Ed. from Drury University. Julie has twenty plus years as a Junior High/Middle School educator with Fayetteville Public Schools. Julie values the knowledge that her pie creations grace the tables of family birthdays, weddings, special occasions and countless other gatherings.
Catherine Hawks, along with sister Julie, co-founded the Gingham Daisy in 2014. Catherine cultivates a collection of cherished family and shared recipes to create pie fillings for special orders, along with products for the Fayetteville Farmers Market each week. Catherine has a B.S.E. from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, and a M.Ed. in Special Education from UALR. Retired as an educator, Catherine offers pie making classes thru the Gingham Daisy.
Cathy Muren, or Mom, as we know her, is our inspiration for scratch baking. Cathy was born in Pine Bluff, AR, where all of her childhood friends sported nicknames. Catherine Lee was shortened to Ca’Lee,and is the name that her Pine Bluff friends still know her by. We affectionately refer to each pie as Ca’Lees in her honor.
